Seattle: Klondike Gold Rush Museum

We recently had the day off for MLK Day and decided to head to downtown Seattle and check out the Klondike Gold Rush Museum. I have a Nation Park Passport Book and have been trying to collect stamps to as many National Parks and museums as I can. And this seemed like a perfect opportunity to check this one out!

The museum was small, but it was also free. It was well put together and we learned a few new things. Its mostly reading, but they had a scavenger hunt type thing for kids. They can grab a booklet at the front desk and then collect stamps at different stations around the museum.

Took us about a half hour to go through the museum. If you don't like to read, you can go through it even faster.

But, this would be a great addition to your day if you started out with the Underground Tour, since they are both super close to each other and give some historic background to Seattle.

Then, you can finish the day by grabbing dinner at Pike Place!
