Ohio: Franklin Park Conservatory

While visiting my family in Ohio for Christmas, we took some time to go check out the Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus. I hadn't been there since grade school. The Conservatory is a beautiful indoor/outdoor botanical garden.

The indoor gardens are separated into rooms of different climates with the different plants that would grow in those conditions. One of my favorites was the dessert plants. I love succulents and cactuses.

The conservatory also has seasonal exhibits. Since we were there around Christmas time, they has a lot of poinsettas and set up other plants in the shape of Christmas trees. It was super lovely and definitely put you in the holiday spirit.

Walking around the indoor part took us about an hour to hour and a half. It was cold and rainy the day we went, so we weren't able to go outside, so I'm not sure how long that part would take to walk around. Its a lovely way to spend a few hours no matter the time of year. And a great place for some lovely photo ops.
