Seattle: EMP Museum

My husband and I have been living here in the Seattle are for almost 4 years now. One of our favorite places to visit is the EMP Museum. The museum features all things pop cultural!

They have exhibits ranging from science fiction:

To fantasy:

To music:

And everything in between!

Recently, we went back to check out two of their temporary exhibits: "Star Wars and the Power of Costume" and "What's Up Doc? The Animation Art of Chuck Jones". The Chuck Jones was super inspiring for me, as an animator. I loved seeing all the rough animation drawings (Sadly, pictures weren't allowed).

Its really neat to go there and see these costumes and props from all different movies up close. With some of them, my mind is blown to the detail that went into different things, that you may not see on screen for more than a minute.

If you love movies or television, I definitely recommend checking out this museum. Every time I go back, I end up seeing something new. And I usually leave super inspired. If you're in Seattle, its the crazy looking building, right next to the Space Needle. Don't miss it!
